HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION NO.11425 OF 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents Nos.1 and 2 in not promoting the petitioner as Grade I Officer, as illegal and arbitrary. 2.

When this matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the petitioner had attained the age of superannuation and he retired from service. At this stage, there cannot be any direction to respondents Nos.1 and 2 to promote the petitioner. 3.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
