THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.7882 of 2016 ORDER:

The prayer of the petitioner in this case is as under: "Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue Writ, Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 2nd respondent in not awarding Freelance Accreditation to the petitioner as per G.O.Ms. No.96 General Administration (I&PR.II) Department dated 0803-2006 as illegal, arbitrary, contrary to law and violative of Rule 11(d) of G.O.Ms. No. 96 and violative of principles of natural justice and pass such other order or orders or directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Sri Radhakrishna Murthy, learned counsel representing Sri K. Kishore Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, informed this Court that after the institution of this writ petition, the petitioner was granted due accreditation but was denied certain benefits. In the light of the appellate remedy provided under Clause 17 of G.O.Ms.No.96, General Administration (I&PR.II) Department, dated 08.03.2006, it is open to the petitioner to seek redressal of his grievance before the appellate authority.

In the light of the efficacious alternative remedy provided under the Government Order, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
