HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITION No.6550 OF 2009 ORDER:

The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to declare clauses (a) and (b) under column 3 of the notification dated 18.03.2009, issued by the Convener, LAWCET pursuant to G.O.Ms. No.31 and 32 dated 18.03.2009, as illegal; and to set aside the said circular dated 27.02.2009 as illegal and arbitrary.

Admission into the 3/5 year LLB Common Entrance Test, 2009, is put in issue in this Writ Petition. While admitting the Writ Petition on 26.03.2009, notice was ordered in the WPMP. More than eight years has since elapsed. It is evident, therefore, that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
