HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 20120 of 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not appointing the petitioner in any suitable post on compassionate grounds. It has been contended by the petitioner that her husband had expired on 03.08.1997 while discharging duties with the respondents. Subsequently, she submitted a representation dated 22.04.2001 to the respondents seeking employment on compassionate grounds, but the respondents have not passed any orders thereon so far. This Court, having considered the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, is of the considered view that ends of justice would be met, if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.04.2001 and pass orders thereon within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
