HON'BLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI CRIMINAL PETITION No.344 of 2020 ORDER :

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.494 of 2018 on the file of the XX Metropolitan Magistrate, Malkajgiri at Neredmet, which was taken cognizance of the offence punishable under Section 138 of the N.I. Act. 2.

During the course of hearing, the only relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner is to dispense with the presence of the petitioner before the trial Court in the above C.C. on each and every date of adjournment.

Since the petitioner is the only accused and he is the only person to represent the case before the trial Court, I am not inclined to dispense with his presence before the trial Court.
