When the matter is taken up, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration for the respondents that the issue raised in the present Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order, dated 02.01.2018, passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.47991 of 2018.

Relevant portion of the aforesaid order reads as under: "This Court, having considered the rival submissions of the parties, is of the considered view that the case of the petitioner deserves to be considered for promotion to the post of Assistant Director of Town Planning in terms of the guidelines framed by the State Government in G.O.Ms.No.257, dated 10.06.1999. Therefore, this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant director of Town Planning in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.257, dated 10.06.1999 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of." Following the aforesaid order and for the reasons stated therein, this Writ Petition is also disposed of in terms thereof.
