HONOURABLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI WRIT PETITION NO.1108 OF 2020 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed with the following prayer:- "...to issue a Writ or Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring inaction of the 2nd Respondent in furnishing the details as to arrears of property tax being raised in the property tax Bills from the year 20122013 to 2018-2019 pursuant to the representations of the petitioner dated 20.07.2017, 20.07.2018 and legal notice dated 18.11.2019 as arbitrary and illegal and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to furnish the said details as to arrears of property tax being raised in the property tax bills from the year 2012-13 to 2018-2019 and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

In the light of the prayer made, learned counsel for the second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representations filed by the petitioner dated 20.07.2017 and 20.07.2018 and subsequent legal notice dated 18.11.2019, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from today. It is further directed not to take any coercive steps or insist the petitioner for payment of arrears of property tax to an amount of Rs.2,996/- along with interest of Rs.870/- till disposal of the representations filed by the petitioner by the second respondent. With these directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending shall stand closed.
