O R D E R
The prayer of the petitioner in this case is as under: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or direction declaring the action of the respondents in notifying the sand quarry on the Chitravathi Balancing Reservoir situated at Peddachigullarevu Village, Mudigubba Mandal, Anantapur District vide Notification No.02/Sand/2015-16, Dt.21.01.2016 through e-auction for sand quarry leases for a period of one year is illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and contrary to the rules and consequently set aside the said auction notice Dt.21.01.2016 in respect of Chitravathi Balancing Reservoir situated at Peddachigullarevu Village, Mudigubba Mandal and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit just and proper in the circumstances of the case.'
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology states that in the light of the changed sand policy of the State, proposed auctions for grant of sand mining rights stand cancelled. In that view of the matter, this writ petition does not survive for consideration on merits and is accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand dismissed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
