THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K. LAKSHMAN I.A. No.3 of 2021 in/and CRIMINAL PETITION No.317 OF 2021 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner - accused to quash the proceedings against them in Crime No.29 of 2021 pending on the file of Station House Officer, Vanasthalipuram Police Station, Rachakonda. The offences alleged against the petitioner are under Sections 354, 354-D and 506 IPC.

2. During pendency of the present criminal petition, the 2nd respondent - de facto complainant filed I.A No.3 of 2021 seeking to record the compromise as per joint memo/MOU dated 18.01.2021.

3. Vide order dated 02.02.2021, this Court, after recording the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the 2nd respondent, directed the petitioner and the 2nd respondent to appear before the Registrar (Judicial-I), of this Court, for their identification and also directed the Registrar (Judicial-I) to submit a report to that effect by 12.02.2021. Pursuant to the said order, the Registrar (Judicial-I) has submitted his report dated 08.02.2021.

4. In the report dated 08.02.2021 of the Registrar (Judicial-I), it is stated that on oral examination, the 2nd respondent - de facto complainant has stated that she had filed a complaint against the petitioner in Vanasthalipuram Police station, Rachakonda and that the

same has been registered as FIR No.29 of 2021 for the offences under Sections 354, 354-D and 506 IPC, and that now she has approached this Court for recording the compromise between her and the petitioner - Accused. The said report of the Registrar (Judicial-I) dated 08.02.2021 is placed on record.

5. It is relevant to note that according to the learned counsel for the petitioner both the petitioner and the 2nd respondent got married and leading their marital life. In proof of the same, he has filed photographs.

6. In view the said report and also in view of the compromise entered between the 2nd respondent and the petitioner and that they got married, I.A. No.3 of 2021 is allowed. Consequently, the Criminal Petition No.317 of 2021 is allowed and the proceedings against the petitioner - Accused in Crime No.29 of 2021 on the file of the Station House Officer, Vanasthalipuram Police Station, Rachakonda, are quashed.
