HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.6460 of 2017 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, the petitioner/ accused seeks to quash the proceedings in Crime No.460 of 2016 of Osmania University PS, Hyderabad, which was registered for the offence under Sections 504, 506, 507 IPC and Section 3 (1) (x) of SC and ST (POA) Act.

2) When the matter came up for hearing, learned Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 29.07.2017 of Sub-Inspector of Police, Osmania University PS, Hyderabad City and submitted that the case was referred as "lack of evidence" on 23.05.2017 and final report was filed before IV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Secunderabad and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.460 of 2016 has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed.

3) There is no representation for petitioner.

4) In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
