HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR AND HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE J. UMA DEVI C.C.NO. 954 of 2016 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar) Smt. K. Pallavi, learned counsel for the petitioner, would inform this Court that the petitioner expired and his wife is on her death bed. It appears that the Freedom Fighters Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, Union of India, issued proceedings dated 1.2.2017 during the pendency of this contempt case once again rejecting the claim of the petitioner for freedom fighter pension under the Swatantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1980.

As Smt. K. Pallavi, learned counsel for the petitioner, would state that the son of the petitioner does not wish to pursue the contempt proceedings, we are left with no alternative but to close the same. However, liberty is given to independently challenge the proceedings dated 1.2.2017 issued by the Freedom Fighters Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, Union of India in accordance law.
