ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/accused seeking to quash the proceedings in P.R.No.27 of 2016-17 of Prohibition and Excise Station, Bapatla, Guntur District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 7(A) r/w 8(e) of A.P. Prohibition Act, against her.

2. It is alleged in the complaint that on 12.04.2014 at about 8.30 AM on instructions, the police apprehended the accused, found ID arrack in her possession, took the samples and arrested the accused. Based on the complaint, the aforesaid crime was registered against the accused.

3. Since the police caught hold the petitioner red handedly with ID arrack and in view of the allegations in the complaint, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the concerned police are directed to complete the investigation without arresting the petitioner/accused and file a final report, if any, in accordance with law. The petitioner herein is directed to appear before the investigating agency as and when required and cooperate with the investigating agency.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this petition shall stand closed.
