HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 15777 of 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to follow the procedure of selection contemplated in G.O.Ms.No.12, Education (CE-1-2) Department, dated 10.01.1992 while filling up the backlog vacancies of junior Lecturer in Chemistry reserved for SC-C category in the 3rd respondent college, and declaring that the adhoc rule promulgated through G.O.Ms.No.214, General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 08.05.2001 is not applicable for selections of junior Lecturers in the private aided/unaided sections.

While admitting the writ petition, this Court passed orders dated 23.08.2002 in WPMP No.19762 of 2002 directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for filling up the backlog vacancies of junior Lecturers in Chemistry reserved for SC-C category in the 3rd respondent college.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits in view of the interim direction granted by this Court on 23.08.2002, no further orders are necessary in the writ petition and the petitioner is continuing in service. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is closed.
