Heard.

The petitioner complains that though no case is pending against him, respondents 1 to 3 are interfering with his personal life and liberty and calling him to the police station and threatening him.

Learned Government Pleader has received instructions, which state that the brother of the petitioner married to one Srividyalakshmi, who is the 4th respondent herein, and after few days of marriage, the 4th respondent lodged a complaint against her husband, in-laws and the brother of her husband. Based on the said complaint, a case in Cr.No.185 of 2015 is stated to have been registered by the 3rd respondent and during the course of investigation, the petitioner is stated to have been called for the purpose of enquiry. It is also stated that the 3rd respondent will issue notice under Section 41 Cr.P.C. for the purpose of investigation, if required. Evidently, no case is pending against the petitioner and he was called only for the purpose of enquiry with reference to Cr.No.185 of 2015 registered on the complaint of the 5th respondent. As a citizen, therefore, the petitioner is bound to cooperate with the police and assist them in the enquiry and investigation whenever required.

In view of the statement of the respondent police that they only called the petitioner for enquiry and will follow due process of law, no further direction is called for.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
