THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE NO.1106 OF 2016

O R D E R

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 13.12.2015 passed in W.P.No.42762 of 2015. By the said order, the police authorities were directed to take appropriate action upon the petitioner's complaints dated 18.12.2014 and 22.04.2015 in the light of the law laid down by the Supreme Court in LALI TA KUMARI V/ s. GOVERNMENT OF UTTAR PRADESH1.

The Sub-Inspector of Police, Alwal Police Station, filed a counteraffidavit stating that on the strength of the complaints made by the petitioner, Crime No.394 of 2016 was registered on the file of his Police Station under Sections 420, 468 and 471 IPC.

In the light of the aforestated averment, which remains unrebutted, this Court finds no grounds to infer any disobedience warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction.
