THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 1100 of 2019 O R D E R:

The innocuous relief which the petitioner sought in this writ petition is, a direction to the respondents to consider his service from 01.08.2009 to 09.07.2014 at 133/33 K.V. Nandigama Power Sub Station 220 KV Chillakallu Sub Division, Gunadala Division, Vijayawada for the purpose of reckoning the benefits under Notification No.1, dated 16.02.2018.

The case of the petitioner is that he worked with the DISCOM in the combined State of Andhra Pradesh from 01.08.2009 to 09.07.2014 and consequent to the bifurcation of the power utilities, particularly, in terms of the notification, dated 16.02.2018, he is eligible for weightage to be given in terms of para 8 of the said notification, which provides for one mark for every half year of service.

Though the learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.3 to 5 seeks time to get clear instructions with respect to the aspect that the petitioner would be required to be given benefit for the service alleged to have been rendered by him in the combined State or not, this Court is of the opinion that the present writ petition is not required to be pending as essentially, the said aspect is required to be considered by the authorities concerned. In those circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner and communicate the decision to him within a

period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, in this writ petition shall stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. _________________________ CHALLA KODANDA RAM, J Dt:24.01.2019 kdl
