THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 1234 of 2019 O R D E R:

The innocuous relief, which the petitioner sought in this Writ Petition is, a direction to the respondents to consider his service from 2011 onwards as Spot Billing Operator in respondent Power Distribution Company Limited for the purpose of reckoning the benefits under Notification No.1, dated 16.02.2018.

The case of the petitioner is that he has been working with the DISCOM from 2011 onwards and hence, in terms of the notification, dated 16.02.2018, he is eligible for weightage to be given in terms of para 8 thereof, which provides for one mark for every half year of service.

Though the learned Standing Counsel for the 4th respondent seeks time to get clear instructions with respect to the aspect that the petitioner is required to be given benefit for the service alleged to have been rendered by him in the combined State or not, the present Writ Petition need not be kept pending, as, essentially, the said aspect is required to be considered by the authorities concerned.

In those circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner and communicate the decision to him within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications, if any shall stand closed.
