O R D E R

This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in Crime/FIR No.216/2015 on the file of Bhadrachalam Town Police Station, Khammam, registered against the petitioners/accused 1 to 3 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 380 IPC. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that in the present case, substantial part of investigation is completed and the police have not filed the final report. He further submitted that the 1st petitioner is a postgraduate student in engineering and her future prospects are being affected in view of the pendency of the criminal proceedings. Therefore, he sought a direction to the police to complete the investigation and to file a final report.

Having regard to the above submissions and the material available on record and without going into the merits of the case, the criminal petition is disposed of directing the Sub Inspector of Police, Bhadrachalam Town Police Station, Khammam to complete the investigation in Crime/FIR No.216/2015 as expeditiously as possible, positively within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file final report. Till then, the petitioners shall not be arrested.
