THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.1314 of 2019 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 2nd respondent in not taking steps to continue the existing Managing Committee of Masjid-e-Ahata Chanwer Peeran in spite of the written representation, dated 09.01.2019, as arbitrary and illegal and sought a consequential direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 09.01.2019 and pass appropriate orders.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent had submitted that the case of the petitioner will be considered along with other eligible candidates and appropriate orders would be passed on the representation submitted by the petitioner.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions made by the parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 09.01.2019 along with other eligible candidates and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eights weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
