Estt/C3/237/81 dt.18-9-2002 as highly illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional set a side the impugned proceedigns dt.18-9-2002 by holding that the amendment issued in G.O.Ms. No.280 dt.20-5-2000 is not applicable to the petitioner herein and consequently direct the respondent to promote the petitioner as Assistant Development Officer notionally with all consequential benefits.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the purpose of filing of the writ petition has become infructuous. The submission is recorded.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
