THE HONOURABLE SMT. JUSTICE T. MADHAVI DEVI CRIMINAL PETITION NO.653 OF 2024 ORDER:

In this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Hyderabad Division, respondent No. 2 herein, for release of vehicle i.e., Maruthi Suzuki Claz bearing No. TS 03FA 7722, whrctl was seized by the officials in connection with a case in C.O.R. No. 335 of 2023, dated 19.lO.2023 on the file of Station House OIIicer, Uppal Police Station, on the ground that certain contraband was being carried in the said vehicle Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor, however, submitted that the petitioner has to approach the appropriate committee i.e., Drug Disposal Committee seeking release of the vehicle in question.

At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition with liberty to approach the said Committee.

) l Permission is accorded and the criminal petition is dismissed as withdrawn granting liberty to the petilioner to approach the Drug Disposal Committee.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, lf any, in this Criminal Petition shall also stand closed.
