THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE D.NAGARJUN CRIMINAL PETITION No.492 OF 2020 ORDER:
This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure by the petitioners-accused Nos.1 to 5 to quash the proceedings against them in C.C.No.4634 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, the cognizance of which is taken for the offences under Sections 498-A, 406 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners-accused Nos.1 to 5.

Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent No.1-State has submitted that during pendency of this criminal petition, the trial Court has disposed of the case on 18.02.2022 by acquitting the accused for the offences alleged against them. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor has filed copy of e-Courts proceedings to substantiate the same.

In view of the above submission, since the very purpose of filing this criminal petition has already been fulfilled and no cause survives in this petition and thereby the Criminal Petition has become infructuous and liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
Pending Miscellaneous Applications, if any, shall stand closed.
