This Hon'ble Court was pleased to grant interim orders on 09.08.2002. 2.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it has been contended by the counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has filed mercy petition. 3.

It has been further contended by the counsel for the petitioner that so far no orders are passed on the mercy petition.

In view of the said submission, this court is of the considered view that the respondents are directed to pass appropriate orders on the mercy petition, if not already passed and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

With this observation, Writ Petition is disposed of. 6.
