Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the proceedings dated 29.12.2007 removing the petitioners from services as Field Assistants of Akulanarayanapalli and Balayapalli Gram Panchayats without following any procedure.

No interim order was granted at the time of admission of the Writ Petition and, thus, the petitioners were out of service for the last 10 years. A counter affidavit is filed stating that on 11.01.2008 selections were completed and proceedings were issued appointing Rebba Narasaiah for Akulanarayanapally and Mundlapati Venkataramana for Balayapally in the place of the petitioners pursuant to a fresh notification issued on 01.01.2008 in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.471 dated 15.10.2007 and they have been working since 12.01.2008.

In view of the same, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the Writ Petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
