O R D E R

This writ petition was filed seeking a direction to the police authorities to act upon the legal notice dated 07.05.2015. By the said legal notice, the petitioner, through her lawyer, sought police protection so as to enable her to take over possession of a particular property by safeguarding law and order at the venue.

The claim of the petitioner is allegedly based on an Award passed by the Lok Adalat at Kovvur, West Godavari District, in Case No.95 of 2015 on 25.04.2015. According to the petitioner, despite the said Award, the other side was not complying therewith and was causing obstruction to its implementation.

The Award passed by the Lok Adalat is in the nature of a decree and can be executed. Without taking recourse to that remedy, the petitioner seems to be labouring under the impression that the police authorities are bound to provide protection to her to secure implementation of the Award.

Sri B. Chandrasekhar, learned counsel for the petitioner, is unable to demonstrate before this Court as to how the petitioner would be entitled to seek police protection on the facts obtaining.

The writ petition is accordingly closed leaving it open to the petitioner to take recourse to appropriate remedies in accordance with law for seeking implementation of the Lok Adalat Award. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
