HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No. 13887 of 2015 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioners/A4 & A5 seek to quash the proceedings in CC No. 198 of 2015 on the file of Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Khammam, registered for the offences under Sections 498-A IPC and Sections 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961(Crime No. 83 of 2013 of WPS Khammam). 2.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 05.07.2018 of Sub-Inspector of Police, W.P.S., Khammam District and submitted that the case was ended in acquittal on 14.11.2017 and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in CC No. 198 of 2015 has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
