Petitioner is one of the candidates who participated in the selection for the post of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Commerce in pursuance of the notification No. 1/2010 dated 8.12.2012 and Notification No. 1 and 2 of 2012 dated 27.09.2010. The grievance of the petitioner is even though the selections were conducted, so far results were not declared and the claim of the petitioner for such appointment is not considered. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Standing Counsel produced instructions given by the Registrar of the University dated 2.2.2016. In para 3 of the said letter, the Registrar states that the Government has since granted sanction to 23 positions in various cadres in English, Chemistry, Microbiology, Political Science and Commerce.
The learned Standing Counsel submits that steps are being taken to finalize the selection in Commerce discipline as a consequence to the clearance given by the Government. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of granting six weeks time to the second respondent-University to finalize the selection in so far as the Commerce discipline is concerned. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed. ______________________ P. NAVEEN RAO, J Date: 03.2.
