JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER WRIT PETITION No.1702 of 2021 ORDER :(per Hon'ble Sri Justice A.Rajasheker Reddy) The petitioner, Sandeep Singh, filed this writ petition on behalf of his brother i.e. Nikhil Singh @ Nitin, S/o.Omprakash Singh, the detenu, challenging the detention order dated 18.11.2020, passed by the 2nd respondent-Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, and the consequential confirmation order vide G.O.Rt.No.254, dated 01.02.2021, passed by the Principal Secretary to Government, General Administration (SPL.(LAW & Order) Department, Government of Telangana.

Heard learned counsel for petitioner who submits that the detention order passed against the detenu's co-accused was quashed in WP.No.1691 of 2021 dated 23.04.2021.

The said assertion could not be disputed by the learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for learned Additional Advocate General.

In view of the same and for the reasons alike in WP.No.1691 of 2021, this writ petition is also allowed in terms of the said order and the impugned detention order vide SB (I) No.227/PD-2/HYD/2020, dated 18.11.2020, passed by the 2nd respondent, and the consequential confirmation order vide G.O.Rt.No.254, dated 01.02.2021, passed by the Principal Secretary to Government, General Administration (SPL.(LAW & Order) Department, Government of Telangana, are hereby set aside. The respondents are directed to set the detenu, namely Nikhil Singh @ Nitin,

S/o.Omprakash Singh, at liberty forthwith, if he is no longer required in any other criminal case.

As a sequel, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending shall stand closed.
