HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V. BHATT Writ Petition No.19387 of 2015 PC: (Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale) Heard learned counsel for the parties.
In this writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for direction to respondent Nos. 1 to 4 to appoint Chairman as well as Members to the Special Court under the Andhra Pradesh Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Act, 1982 (for short 'the Act'). Learned Special Government Pleaders appearing for the State of Andhra Pradesh and the State of Telangana, on instructions, submit that both the State Governments have already taken a decision to abolish the Special Court under the Act. In other words, they submit that both the State Governments have taken decision not to continue the Special Court constituted under the said Act.
In view thereof, nothing further survives in the writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of as rendered infructuous.
It is open to the petitioners to challenge the decision taken by both the State Governments for abolition of the Special Court constituted under the Act, if they so desire. Pending miscellaneous applications shall also stand closed. ____________________ DILIP B. BHOSALE, ACJ
