HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. SHANKAR NARAYANA WRIT PETITION No.20807 OF 2007 ORDER:

On 04-10-2007, interim direction was given by this Court in W.P.M.P. No.26987 of 2007 to the respondents to consider the case of petitioners for appointment to the post of Junior Lineman, if they are, otherwise, eligible as per law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners would represent that the contract service post was for a fixed period, and even the matter would have become infructuous.

3. The selection process against column No.5 in the notification would show that duration for the post was one year. Since the present writ petition was filed in the year 2007, the matter renders infructuous.

4. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, stand disposed of.
