THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION NO.15546 OF 2015 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus declaring that the petitioner is entitled to be appointed as Headmistress of the 5th respondent-School with all consequential benefits in preference to the claims of the 6th respondent, by holding that the action of the official respondents more particularly the 3rd respondent in issuing instructions to the 5th respondent vide proceedings dated 28.4.2015, to keep the 6th respondent as Full Additional Charge to the post of Headmaster at SKVT (EM) High School, Rajahmundry and to submit a compliance report, and the consequential order dated 22.5.2015, as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the rules.

When this matter was taken up for admission and hearing today, it has been brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Government Pleader for School Education that the petitioner and the 6th respondent were promoted as headmasters vide proceedings dated 11.8.2017 and the petitioner after taking charge as Headmistress retired from service on 31.8.2017, and in view of the same, the cause in this writ petition does not survive.

Recording the above submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
