THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.1657 OF 2019 O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 08.11.2017 and 11.09.2018 for appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground in view of untimely death of the petitioner's husband.

Heard Sri Kishore Rai, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri J. Srinivasa Rao, learned Standing counsel for respondents. It has been contended by the petitioner that her husband was employed with the respondent organisation as a security guard. While the petitioner's husband was in service, he died on 05.03.2017 in a road accident near Mancherial. The petitioner further contends that she has submitted applications on 08.11.2017 and 11.09.2018 to respondents seeking compassionate appointment but so far respondents have not passed any orders nor considered her case for appointment on compassionate grounds.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the aforesaid applications submitted by the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds and pass appropriate orders.

Learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the case of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed on the applications submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions of both the parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the applications submitted by the petitioner on 08.11.2017 and 11.09.2018 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
