THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U. DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.6701 OF 2016 ORDER:

In this Criminal Petition, filed under Sections 437 and 439 Cr.P.C., the petitioner - A1, who along with A2 to A9 allegedly committed offences punishable under Sections 489-B, C, D and E read with 34 I.P.C. for printing counterfeit currency and circulating them through other accused, and who has been in judicial remand since 03.03.2016 in Crime No.56 of 2016 of Bhimavaram II Town Police Station, West Godavari District, filed the instant bail application. As can be seen from the remand report, the petitioner herein involved in a number of similar offences at Visakhapatnam and Kakinada and other places and after obtaining bail, he committed similar offences including the present one. The police claimed to have seized Rs.40,000/- counterfeit currency each from A3 and A4 and Rs.20,000/- counterfeit currency from A5 and investigation is reported to be pending.

In view of the gravity of offences and investigation being pending, it is not a fit case to grant bail. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed.
