The only grievance of the petitioner as evident from the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition is that without being preceded by any notice and enquiry the respondent authorities fixed the vacant land tax and issued the impugned notice demanding exorbitant amounts and that the same is not in accordance with law.

On instructions, it is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel Smt.G.Jhansi, appearing for the respondents, that the petitioner may be permitted to submit explanation by treating the impugned notice as show-cause notice and the respondent authorities will take appropriate action on the explanation in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of, keeping it open for the petitioner herein to submit explanation by treating the impugned notice as a show-cause notice, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and if any such explanation is filed within the time stipulated above, the same be considered and appropriate orders be passed in accordance with law, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner herein.
