HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.3857 OF 2013 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioner seeks to quash the proceedings in Crime No.20 of 2013 on the file of Mandapeta Police Station, East Godavari District, registered for the offences under Sections 420 and 506 IPC.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor produced the letter of Inspector of Police, Mandapeta Town Police Station, East Godavari District and submitted that after completion of investigation, the crime was referred as 'CIVIL IN NATURE, through proceedings of the Sub Divisional Police Officer, Ramachandrapuram, vide C.No.31/SDPO-RCPM/2014, dated 26.06.2014 and the final report was filed before the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Alamuru and therefore, the subject matter of the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.20 of 2013 has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
