Heard Sri P.V.Krishnaiah, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner had contended that the petitioner is working as a Junior Assistant and as per the Rule of reservation, the case of the petitioner has to be considered for appointment by transfer to the post of Librarian, but the respondents are not considering his case for appointment by transfer to the post of Librarian.

This Court vide order dated 01.02.2021 was pleased to grant interim order directing the respondents not to fill up one post of Librarian and the said interim order is subsisting. As per Rule 22 of Telangana State and Subordinate Services Rules, the petitioner is entitled for appointment by transfer to the post of Librarian. But, the respondents are not considering his case for appointment by transfer to the post of Librarian. Therefore, appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment by transfer to the post of Librarian in accordance with Rule 22 of Telangana State and Subordinate Services Rules.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the case of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with Rule 22 of the Telangana State and Subordinate Services Rules and

appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible, as per Rules. This Court, having considered the rival submissions of learned counsel for the parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment by transfer to the post of Librarian in accordance with Rule 22 of the Telangana State and Subordinate Services Rules and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible, as per Rules.

With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
