THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.1946 of 2019 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is that the revenue authorities are not taking necessary steps upon his application dated 31.12.2018, whereby he sought mutation of his name in the revenue records in relation to the land admeasuring Ac.0.14 guntas in Survey No.70/D/2/1 of Gadipelli Village, Khila Warangal Mandal, Warangal District. Perusal of the record reflects that the petitioner made an application in Form VI(A) under the provisions of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971. It is not open to the revenue authorities to remain somnolent after receiving an application in the prescribed format.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the Tahsildar, Warangal Urban District, Warangal, to consider the petitioner's application dated 31.12.2018 on its own merits and take appropriate action thereon as per law. This exercise shall be completed expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
