Petitioners claim that they purchased the land to an extent of Sq.1600.84 yards in survey Nos.253/Aa & 254/A of V.Venkatayapalem Village, Raghunadhapalem Mandal of Khammam District, with equal shares and later the second petitioner gifted his share to his son. Petitioners claim to have entered into an agreement of sale on 13.10.2018 with one M.D.Khaja. It appears that there is an inter se dispute between the petitioner and 4th respondent with reference to the above property. Petitioners now allege that the third respondent-Circle Inspector of Police summoning them orally to Police Station every day 4 to 5 times and making them to sit in the Police Station in the name of investigation and the same is illegal and void. 3.

Learned Government Pleader produced a copy of F.I.R. No.32/2019 registered on 31.01.2019.

Based on the complaint lodged by the 4th respondent, the said crime is registered. In consequence to registration of crime, the Police are investigating. Hence, it cannot be said that the Police are illegally interfering in the life and liberty of the petitioners. How to conduct investigation is clearly laid down by precedent decisions and Police Manual. One cannot be expected that the Police would deviate from the laid down norms and procedure while investigating into the crime and unnecessarily harass the petitioners.

Therefore, leaving it open to the petitioners to work out their remedies if aggrieved by registration of crime, the Writ Petition is dismissed.
