The petitioners, who are octogenarians, filed the instant writ petition complaining withdrawal of ration and nonpayment of old age pension paid by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The writ petition was heard on 18.07.2017 and the Assistant Government Pleader (Revenue), on instructions, submitted that the 3rd respondent has taken steps to restore ration card to petitioners and essential commodities are distributed to petitioners as well. The petitioners accept the development of restoring ration card during pendency of the writ petition.
At request of Sri Seshadri, the writ petition was directed to be listed today to get instructions from the 4th respondent as to the period within which the old age pension payable to 2nd petitioner would be restored.
Sri Seshadri, on instructions, submits that the 4th respondent keeping in view the age of 2nd petitioner, would take all steps required for paying the old age pension together with arrears within two months from today.
The statement is placed on record and accepted. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
The counsel for the 4th respondent is authorized to communicate the order to 4th respondent forthwith for taking necessary action within the time requested by the 4th respondent.
