This petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is A5, in Crime No.3 of 2017 on the file of Vedullapalli Police Station, Guntur District. The offence alleged is under Section 420 r/ w 34 IPC.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

The case of the prosecution is that A1 promised to supply gold to the de facto complainant for lesser price. Believing the words, the de facto complainant went to Vedullapally and given an amount of Rs.3,00,000/ - to A1. In the meanwhile, five other persons came there and accused No.1 introduced them stating that some portion of gold will be arranged by them. Thereafter, all the accused went away from there, informing that they would bring gold and cheated the de facto complainant. 4.

The Public Prosecutor opposed the bail application and stated that the petitioner was involved in several crimes. A1 to A4 were identified by the de facto complainant and A4 gave confession that this petitioner, along with others, has committed the alleged offence.

Hence, this court opines that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

With the above observations, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner can file a petition seeking for regular bail by surrendering himself before the court below. The court below shall dispose of the bail application, if any filed, expeditiously, preferably on the same day, subject to the pressure of other work.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
