HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R. KANTHA RAO Writ Petition No.15847 of 2015 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj-R.1 and R.2 Sri M.S.R.Chandra Murthy, learned Special counsel for MGNREGS-R.3 and R.4 and Sri G.Seshadri, learned counsel for the 5th respondent.

2. The present writ petition is filed by the petitioner, who was working as a Field Assistant and whose services were terminated. The grievance of the petitioner is that without issuing any notice, without conducting any enquiry and without affording any opportunity of hearing, his services were terminated. However, the petitioner filed an appeal before the District Collector, Anantapur District on 26.11.2014, which is pending.

3. In view of the pendency of the appeal, it is appropriate to issue a direction to the 3rd respondent-District Collector, Anantapur to dispose of the appeal.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission, directing the 3rd respondent-District Collector, Ananthapur District to dispose of the appeal made by the petitioner on 26.11.2014, in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
