This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/ accused No.1, seeking a direction to the Court below for expeditious disposal of the petition filed by him in Crl.M.P.No.336 of 2016 in Crl.A.No.199 of 2014 on the file of the Court of the learned VII Additional District Judge, Ongole.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/ accused No.1, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondentState and perused the record. 3 .

As per the records, the aforementioned application was filed by the petitioner/ accused No.1 on 02.05.2016, under Section 391 of Cr.P.C. to receive the documents. The contention of the petitioner/ accused No.1 is that no orders are passed in the said application by the Court below till date. 4 .

Though the aforementioned application is filed on 02.05.2016, the said application is not disposed of yet by the Court below. There is no reason for the Court below to keep the said application pending. It ought to have disposed of long back. 5 .

Under these circumstances, the learned VII Additional District Judge, Ongole, is directed to dispose of Crl.M.P.No.336 of 2016 in Crl.A.No.199 of 2014 pending before him/ her, within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Criminal Petition is ordered accordingly. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
