It is represented by Sri P. Gangarami Reddy, learned counsel for petitioners that this Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order dated 25.1.2018 in W.P.No. 21241 of 2007.

First petitioner is the owner of land admeasuring Ac. 0.17 cents and the second petitioner purchased 40 ankanams out of the above Ac. 0.17 cents from the first petitioner. Both the lands situated in S.No. 42/12 situated in Thopugunta Agrharam, Kaluvari Mandal, Nellore District, which is the subject matter of Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1984 in Rc.G1/3356/07, dated 30.6.2007 of the District Collector, Nellore.

The main contention of the petitioners is that possession of the lands has not been taken and compensation has not been paid to the petitioners by the respondents. Section 24(1) of the Land Acquisition Act categorically provides the period of four years and Section 11-A of the old Act provides for two years with regard to payment of compensation. 4.

At the time of admitting the writ petition, an interim order was passed on 25.10.2007 directing the respondents not to dispossesss the petitioners. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is liable to be disposed

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs. As a sequel there to, miscellaneous applications, pending if any, shall stand closed.
