THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.1617 of 2018 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri P.Devender, learned Standing Counsel for Central Government, learned Government Pleader for Women Development and Child Welfare and the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare. The only grievance of the petitioner in the present Writ Petition is the alleged inaction on the part of the first respondent in taking decision pursuant to the proposals forwarded by the respondent Nos.2 to 5, vide letter No.758/Prog.II/A1/2016, dated 09.10.2017.
It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that, though considerable time has elapsed, no action has been taken on the said proposals. It is also submitted that similarly situated persons have already been granted relief by the first respondent.
Having regard to the nature of controversy and taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present Writ Petition with a direction to the first respondent to take appropriate action pursuant to the letter No.758/Prog.II/A1/2016, dated 09.10.2017, addressed by the second respondent, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
