Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3. 2.
The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: 'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, the petitioner prays that the Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Mandamus, declaring the action of the 2nd in canceling the petitioner's License bearing No.SSB067 pertaining to M/s.Vaishnavi Wines, as per the Proceedings No.Cr.No.B3/579/2019, Dt.22.1.2020, as illegal, null, void, arbitrary and principles of natural justice besides in violation of Section 31(1) of the Excise Act and set-aside the same and to pass such other appropriate orders as are deemed fit and proper in the interests of justice.'

Learned Government Pleader, during the course of hearing, brought to the notice of this Court that the appeal filed against the impugned proceedings in the present writ petition has been disposed of by the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Telangana, in Cr.No.147/2020/CPE/TS/F1-1 dated 31.01.2020. A copy of the said proceedings have been placed on record by the learned Government Pleader. From the perusal of the same, it is evident that the petition filed by the petitioner has been rejected advising the petitioner to submit its explanation to the DPEEO, Shamshabad.

In that view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive in the writ petition and the same is liable to closed.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to 6.
