Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. With their consent, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

"to issue order direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declare the action of the 4th respondent in not considering the representation filed by the petitioners on 24.10.2016 for furnishing the copy of the DForm Patta Register in respect of the land mentioned in Annexure as illegal, arbitrary and consequentially direct the 4th respondent to consider the representation filed by the petitioner on 24.10.2016 and furnish the information as required by the petitioner enable them to submit the same before the Land Acquisition Officer for release of the compensation amount."

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the 4th respondent - Tahsildar, to consider the representation made by the petitioners to furnish a copy of the D-Form Patta Register in respect of the lands covered in R.S.Nos.525/2, 524/2, 531/11A, 526, 545, 576, 576, 576, 577, 576, 547, 549/1C, 549/13, 550/1, 550/2, 550/3, 551/1, 552/1, 548/3, 552/2, 556, 559, 523/2, 531/1 and 559 to an

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue opposed the same contending that though the alleged fire accident took place in the year, 1988, the petitioners have not filed any application immediately after the fire accident seeking copy of D-Form Patta Register.

A perusal of the representation made by the petitioners would show that the lands were assigned to the petitioners and due to fire accident, they lost original pattas and only Xerox copies are available with them. It is said that the lands of the petitioners are going to be acquired for Polavaram Project and in that connection, the Special Deputy Collector, Polavaram Irrigation Project Right Main Canal Unit1 directed them to produce the original pattas issued in their favour. Hence, they filed a representation dated 17.10.2016 seeking issuance of D-Form Patta Register.

Having regard to the circumstances stated above, if the request made by the petitioners by way of representation dated 17.10.2016 seeking issuance of D-Form Pattas is in the prescribed form, the 4th respondent - Tahsildar shall consider the same and

CPK,J WP_39241_2016 pass orders after hearing the petitioners and the aggrieved persons, if any, within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.
