This petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is the accused, in Crime No.305 of 2016 on the file of the Prohibition & Excise Station, SHO, Pargi. The offence alleged is under Section 34(a) of A.P.Excise Act. 2.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

The case of the prosecution is that this petitioner was selling toddy without licence; the same was sent for chemical examination to FSL; and the FSL report shows that today was adulterated with Alprazolam.

In view of the above, this court opines that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

With the above observations, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner can file a petition seeking for regular bail by surrendering himself before the court below. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
