HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO Criminal Petition No.3655 of 2015 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed by the petitioners/accused Nos.1 & 2, under sections 437 and 439 Cr.P.C., seeking bail in Crime No.192 of 2014 of Puttur Police Station, Chittoor District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20 (b)(ii)(c) of NDPS Act, 1985. The case of the prosecution is that on 20-10-2014 at about 2.30 PM, the Police arrested the petitioners - accused Nos.1 and 2 on Puttur - KVR Puram Road, while they were transporting 150 sealed packets of ganja of 2 K.Gs. each i.e., total 300 K.Gs. of ganja, in Ford Icon car bearing registration No.TN-32-U-5878.

As the quantity of ganja seized from the petitioners - accused Nos.1 and 2 is 300 K.Gs., which is commercial quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners - accused Nos.1 and 2 at this stage, even though investigation is completed. Accordingly, the criminal petition is dismissed. _________________ RAJA ELANGO, J.
