Order: (per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) The learned Standing Counsel for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation submits that he does not want to file a counter. He suggested that the matter can be disposed of at this stage. Accepting his suggestion, we dispose of the writ petition by the following order.
The impugned demand notice is kept in abeyance. The petitioner shall be served with a notice by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation facilitating her to have a personal hearing in the matter. In spite of notice, if the petitioner does not turn up, then our order shall stand recalled and the issue will be a closed chapter. In the event the petitioner appears, she shall be heard personally. If she wants to produce any documents in support of her case, the same shall be considered and thereafter decision shall be taken in accordance with law and with reasons. This entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such decision is taken, no coercive measures shall be taken.
