HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO Criminal Petition No.8843 of 2015 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed by petitioners/accused Nos.2 to 6, under sections 437 and 439 Cr.P.C., seeking bail in Crime No.57 of 2015 of Anantagiri Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 20(b)(1) of NDPS Act.

The case of the prosecution is that on 13-07-2015, respondent-police, on reliable information about transportation of ganja, conducted rout watch at Government Junior College, Ananthagiri and found the accused coming in a ambassador car and on verification, they found five gunny bags containing 150 kgs. of ganja. Hence, the complaint.

As the quantity of ganja seized from petitioners - accused Nos.2 to 6 is 150 kgs., which is commercial quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to petitioners - accused Nos.2 to 6 at this stage.

Accordingly, the criminal petition is dismissed. _____________________ RAJA ELANGO, J.
